Cycling Without Age

Cycling Without Age is a movement started in 2012 by Ole Kassow. Ole wanted to help the elders get back on their bicycles, but he had to find a solution to their limited mobility. The answer was a trishaw and he started offering free bike rides to the local nursing home residents.

Volunteers (pilots) sign up for bike rides with the elderly as often or as rarely as they want to. It’s all driven by people’s own motivation. At present (February 2023) more than 3,050 chapter locations around the world offer Cycling Without Age from well over 4,900 trishaws – and the numbers are still growing. More than 39,000 trained pilots ensure that the elderly get out of their nursing homes, out on the bikes to enjoy the fresh air and the community around them. They give them the right to wind in their hair.

Hope's Landing

Established in May 2021, Hope’s Landing is a nonprofit social enterprise headquartered in Tiffin, Ohio. All of our products are handmade by local survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence who have graduated from a local safe house, shelter, or other recovery program.

100% of the profits from our sales go right back into the organization to fund the survivor's wages and material costs. Once all operating costs are covered, any remaining amount will be donated back to local shelters to help fund their mission.

Tiffin Community Non-Food Pantry

The Tiffin Community Non-Food Pantry exists to provide personal and household resources to needy individuals in Tiffin and Seneca County that are not available through other programs.

The pantry is open on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. We distribute a quarterly flyer listing the upcoming pantry schedule for posting at the Salvation Army, Tiffin First Call for Help, and other agencies, schools, and churches throughout Seneca County.  Though the pantry initially operated inside the First Presbyterian Church building, now the items are pre-bagged and are handed to people as they drive up in City Lot 6 beside the church, the number of bags depending on household size.

The Tiffin Community Non-Food Pantry, located at First Presbyterian Church in Tiffin (FPC), began serving residents of Tiffin and Seneca County in 2018 following recognition that individuals in financial distress have difficulty obtaining essential personal hygiene and household supplies because those items are not covered under government subsidy programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women, Infants and Children (WIC).

Transformation Life Center

The mission of the Transformation Life Center is to create an infrastructure and culture that will transform people’s lives from dependency to self-sufficiency. It will leverage partnerships with community stakeholders including businesses, government entities, educational institutions, faith-based and not-for- profit organizations, and caring community members to help families and individuals become independent once again.

The Transformation Life Center is an organization that provides emergency housing for women and children in Seneca County. It offers assistance to women, frequently homeless, as they move from dependency into independent, self-sufficient lifestyles. The Transformation Life Center will also link their clients to resources, provide life skills, and budgeting classes.

The TLC does not currently have the resources to provide shelter for men, violent offenders, or sex offenders.
