Nov. 7: We Celebrate the Ministry of the Non-Food Pantry

Dear First Presbyterian Church and Friends:

This Sunday, November 7, 2021, we will be celebrating the ministry of the Tiffin Community Non-Food Pantry during our worship service. During the service we will recognize the many people who have volunteered their time to keep this ministry alive and well. We invite you to bring a gift of diapers to the worship service so that we may provide what is needed in the pantry, and with our children, we will pray a prayer of blessing for all of the little ones who will wear these diapers and for their parents who are working hard to keep things together for their families.

Remember that you can join us in person at 10:30 Sunday morning and that you can also join us online at Facebook.com/FPC.Tiffin. Also remember that this Sunday the time changes – don’t forget to Fall Back.

I am sending you with a prayer that you can pray for our community as we consider who we serve and hope that our small pantry gifts can make a difference. May we be unafraid to pray this prayer and to recognize Christ in each neighbor we meet.

Peace.

Pastor Katie

Lord God, You came to give honor to the least, those forgotten, overlooked and misjudged. You came to give first place to the last, those left behind, misunderstood and undervalued. You came to give a warm welcome to the lost, those who are orphaned, abandoned and destitute. Help us to be your ears to listen to their cries. Help us to be your voice speaking out love and acceptance. Help us to be your feet walking beside those in need. Help us to be your hands to clothe, feed and shelter them. You came for the least, the lost and last of this world. Lord, hear our prayer. Amen.
